Leaving behind my daughter and grandchildren (Rebecca, Jaqe, MacKenzie, Jackie and Cody), loved ones and friends plays heavy on the heart.  Because of this I will fight the loneliness and isolation, but the experience and knowledge I hope to gain will offset this.

Leaving Mississippi is hard but it was not hard to leave the Supreme Court and all of the politics that go with it.  Justice is supposed to be above politics.  I will always be thankful for the people of Mississippi for allowing me to serve them.  I am most grateful when they voted to allow me to have my life back.  I now have the opportunity to open another door on life and begin this journey.  I know the experiences from this journey will change me.  I look forward to this adventure and let it begin now.
